Prayer for Birthdays

God, author of creation, you breathed life into us and know us each by name. You sent your only Son to save us, and you guide us along right paths.

As we celebrate another birthday, we rejoice in your gifts of life and love, family and friends. We give thanks for our parents and all those who nourished us and taught us of your love.

Bless us with your friendship that we may grow in wisdom and grace. Surround us with your love that we may enjoy many happy years, all of them pleasing to you. Amen.

Joe, happy 80th bday! Wishing you a happy day and healthy year ahead. Thanks for all you do for ND.
