Prayer for the Sick

Merciful God, your daughter, Bernadette, suffered from sickness and poverty for most of her short life. Guided by Mary at Lourdes, she entrusted her care to you by living with humility and prayer.

Hear the prayers of those who, like St. Bernadette, endure the pain and uncertainty of illness or misfortune. Grant them the courage to trust in your saving grace, just as Mary did. Sustain them with the bounty of the divine life you offer us in your Son, Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
