Prayer for Easter

O Resurrected Lord,

In this Easter season we celebrate with great joy the victory you have won over sin and death. Now, through the power of your Spirit, you have entrusted us with the mission to keep hope alive in the face of violence, greed, and inhumanity.

Foster in each of us a deep sense of your loving presence, and confidence that we can live lives of integrity, peacefulness, and generosity of spirit. May we reach out with special devotion to your blessed poor, to those who have been victimized by forces beyond their control, and to those separated from their families and homelands.

Help us to share your salvific story with credibility and consistency so that all may know that you reign in glory now and forever. Amen.
