And what a moment—our congregation’s founder, Blessed Basil Moreau, was so inspired by Christ’s Passion and Resurrection that he chose as the motto of the Congregation of Holy Cross: Ave Crux, Spes Unica—Hail the Cross, Our Only Hope. This is not just hope for a single day or person but a hope that permeates everything. It is a hope beyond borders, embracing all people, all of creation in every time and place. It is the same hope that brought Holy Cross missionaries to Northern Indiana over 180 years ago, and the hope that guides our ministries in 17 countries today. What a blessed gift! On this joyful Easter Sunday, join us in the mission of Christ to bring hope and witness to his Resurrection throughout the world.
