Mission
FaithND is the spiritual outreach program of the University of Notre Dame Alumni Association. Rooted in the Catholic mission of the University, FaithND seeks to support the Notre Dame family of faith in prayer and provide resources inviting each member into deeper spiritual connection with God.
FaithND’s mission is rooted in the vision for the Congregation of Holy Cross set forth by Blessed Basil Moreau nearly two centuries ago. Whether you’re a loyal son or daughter of the University or just hearing of us for the first time, we invite you to join the Notre Dame family of faith and contribute to the vibrant fabric of our identity. History
Growing out of various spiritual enrichment efforts of the Notre Dame Alumni Association, FaithND began in 2012 in response to an even greater desire for faith engagement online.The cornerstone of this outreach was the Daily Gospel Reflection, which included the gospel of the day, a reflection written by a member of the Notre Dame family, a prayer by a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and a profile of the saint of the day.
What began with a few thousand subscribers receiving reflections Monday through Friday has grown to a community of more than 100,000 subscribers sharing the gospel and a new meditation for every day of the year. The Daily Gospel Reflection is also now available in audio format on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
In addition to the Daily Gospel Reflection, FaithND’s ministries include the Grotto Prayer Program, quarterly Grotto prayer services, weekly streamed rosaries, seasonal liturgical content during Advent and Lent, and the Everyday Holiness podcast.
