In this Easter season we thank God for the mercy that God always offers to us. Today’s song is a psalm which means that it comes from the Old Testament. This reminds us that God’s plan of salvation was set in motion from the dawn of creation and carried forward through the people of Israel. Let us join our voices with theirs as we proclaim, “His mercy endures forever!”

(Lyrics)
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.

Let the house of Israel say: “His mercy endures forever”
Let the house of Aaron say, “His mercy endures forever.”
Let those who fear the Lord say: “His mercy endures forever.”

Gates of justice are open for me, I enter and praise you, Lord.
Here is found the Lord’s own gate, the gate where the just have entered.
Because you answered I praise you and you have been my Saviour!

The stone that the builders reject, this is the cornerstone,
by the Lord has this been done, a marvel in God’s eyes.
This is the day that the Lord has made. let us rejoice and be glad.
