Prayer for Healing

Dear Lord, I feel so alone. My body, wracked with pain. The hurts of the flesh wound my heart. My spirit brims over with sorrows.
My pain, which no one else can really understand, compels me to cry out to You in frustration, in anger, as I experience such powerlessness. Oh, God, how I hate my suffering, my pain … even You!
Three deep breaths: Send me Your gifts of peace, of strength, of perseverance.
Perhaps, as I place my trust in You, I can turn this god-awful experience into an offering to you.
And, already, I sense your healing has begun.

Thank you, Lord. Alleluia!
