Voices of Faith Gospel Choir – This student-led group of about 35 is diverse in faith and heritage and normally performs at various functions on and off campus throughout the year, including dorm Masses, concerts, and special events, such as the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Luncheon (some changes to performance schedules are currently in place due to the pandemic).

Doctoral candidate in the Department of Sacred Music Emorja Roberson composed this piece and recorded this video prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.  In the early days of the pandemic, he offered the song as a source of comfort and inspiration for all those who have lost a loved one to Covid-19. Even as Jesus endured the trials of his forty days in the desert in preparation for his public ministry, he knew that he was never alone. As we endure the trials of the pandemic, we also trust that we are never alone. The season of Lent and this beautiful song remind us that God is always by our side.
