Voices of Faith Gospel Choir – This student-led group of about 35 is diverse in faith and heritage and normally performs at various functions on and off campus throughout the year, including dorm Masses, concerts, and special events, such as the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Luncheon (some changes to performance schedules are currently in place due to the pandemic).

The Holy Spirit is the breath of God. Jesus breathed forth his Spirit as he died on the cross and he breathed the gift of the Spirit upon the Church at Pentecost. The liturgical season of Easter invites us to dwell in between the resurrection of Christ and the Pentecost event, as a Church sustained by the breath of God. In this time, as we hope for the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are aware of how self conscious we have become of our own breath over the past year. Masks have covered our mouths and noses for many months now. But this has not deterred us from proclaiming the glory of the Lord. As we look to the light on the horizon of this pandemic, we remember that God breathed life into each of us. As bearers of the Holy Spirit through the gifts of the sacraments, how will we breathe God’s Spirit into the world?

(Lyrics)
Breathe on me
Breathe on me
With your presence
Breathe on me

Sing through me
Sing through me
With your presence
Lord, sing through me.

Breathe on me
Lord, breathe on me
With your presence
Lord, breathe on me
