This Lenten and Easter season, FaithND invites you on a musical pilgrimage with the Magnificat Choir and the Folk Choir as we reflect on scenes of Christ’s Passion and Resurrection.
Beginning on Friday, February 20, and continuing periodically throughout Lent, the series features recordings of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater by the Notre Dame Magnificat Choir. This classic 18th-century work, which meditates on the sorrows of the Virgin Mary at the foot of the Cross, is presented here in segments coupled with the Stations of the Cross.
As the liturgical calendar moves into Holy Week and the Easter season, the focus shifts to the Notre Dame Folk Choir’s original work, Drawn Back to the Table, which meditates on some of the most pivotal moments of our Christian faith.
We invite you to a deeper connection as we walk together toward the light of Easter Sunday and beyond.
