Tuesday in the Octave of Easter
Notre Dame Folk Choir – The Folk Choir serves the University of Notre Dame as one of the principal liturgical choirs, singing every Sunday during the academic year at the 11:45 A.M. Mass in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
The Easter season is a fitting time for us to reflect on the remarkable drama of the Paschal mystery and sing out with full hearts, “Lord, I am grateful, for all you’ve done for me!” The past several days have been spiritually intense as we have journeyed in faith through the cross, tomb, and resurrection with our Lord. Let us now join together in praise and thanksgiving for the salvation God has accomplished for our sake through his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, we are grateful!
(Lyrics)
“Lord, I am grateful,
for all you’ve done for me.
Your shadow was my safety.
I can count on you, to never lead me astray.
Thank you, thank you, for all you’ve done for me.
The road you made for me is by no means easy,
Even though my days may be rough,
God sits by me when the going gets rough.
If this is what it takes to get
to the Promised Land,
I won’t complain.
Instead I’ll praise your name,
for all you’ve done for me.
Lord, I am grateful,
for all you’ve done for me.
Your shadow was my safety.
I can count on you, to never lead me astray.
Thank you, thank you, for all you’ve done for me.
Thank you, Lord.
Thank you, Lord.
Thank you, Lord.
for all you’ve done for me.”
