During our Lenten journey, may we remember the connection between our baptism into Christ and the tasks we take on as part of our vocation. He washed us; we wash him; now we wash each other as the body of Christ. We were taken up into his act of sacrifice, and every sacrifice we make has the dignity of that great work.
