The Father’s Timing

As we come closer to Holy Week and Jesus approaches his crucifixion, we see in Scripture that Jesus neither runs from his fate nor rushes things to their conclusion. He surrenders to the Father’s timing, patiently allowing the Holy Spirit to lead him to the appointed hour.

Often for us, waiting for God’s timing can be more difficult than moving forward, even to impending suffering. How can we cultivate patience and remain steadfast in life’s rising storms? How can we embrace God’s plan without rushing ahead or retreating in fear from the appointed hour?
